Passenger Space

Every crossover SUV on the planet is evaluated on how many people it can hold comfortably and safely. Both SUVs have three rows of seats that can hold seven people. Additionally, both vehicles have very similar dimensions for legroom for each passenger.

Cargo Volume

The same space that moves people is easily converted into cargo space in the Acura MDX. When the Acura SUV’s interior is properly configured, there can be up to 2,690 litres of cargo volume. This figure easily outpaces the 1,971 litres of cargo volume offered by the Audi Q7.

Performance

Engine Menu

Most versions of the 2025 MDX use a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre, V-6 engine making 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. The top Type S™ Ultra trim uses a twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-litre, V-6 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Audi uses similar engines in the Q7 lineup, but not all of them can match the output of the MDX.

Fuel Economy

Even though the base engine used by the 2025 Acura MDX makes more horsepower and torque than the corresponding Q7 platform and can still post very similar fuel economy scores of 12.6 L/100 km in the city and 9.4 L/100 km.

Technology

Connected Devices

The Precision Cockpit™ design language used by Acura defines the driving experience offered by the 2025 MDX. A 12.3-inch touchscreen interface is home to cutting-edge technology like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Google Built-In. The Q7 offers a 10-inch touchscreen as well as access to similar smartphone apps.
