Pioneering Design and Advanced Technology
Acura’s Design Studio in Los Angeles unveils the production version of the exterior design direction previously showcased on the Acura Precision EV Concept. With distinct design elements such as the brand’s iconic Chicane DRLs, Jewel Eye LED headlights, and Diamond Pentagon with an illuminated surround, the ZDX encapsulates Acura's renewed focus on performance and style.
The vehicle's interior pairs luxury with technology. A prominent feature is the 22-inch high-definition digital screen, which includes an 11-inch Precision Cockpit Driver Information Cluster and an 11.3-inch Center Information Screen. The screens offer seamless compatibility with Google Maps and other connectivity features, emphasizing the driver's comfort and convenience. A highlight for music enthusiasts is the luxury audio experience from Bang & Olufsen, a well-known name in the audio world. This state-of-the-art sound system ensures passengers enjoy an immersive auditory experience.
Performance and Charging
The ZDX, Acura's pioneer in electric vehicles, stands on a modern platform, boasting a flexible battery structure, an equitable weight distribution, and a low center of gravity. This design promises a driving experience that’s both exhilarating and refined.
The ZDX Type S further pushes the boundaries of electric performance. With an impressive 500 horsepower, performance-tuned adaptive dampers, and large Brembo front brakes, it’s clear that Acura intends for the ZDX Type S to be a force on the road. Charging is made efficient with the DC Fast Charging capability, offering over 120kms of range in just 10 minutes.
Acura Canada's Assistant Vice President, James Marchand, heralded the ZDX's introduction, emphasizing the brand’s shift towards an electrified future. Both the ZDX A-Spec and ZDX Type S feature dual-motors and an AWD configuration, with the former priced above $80,000 and the latter starting above $90,000.
Safety and Driver Assistance
Acura doesn’t compromise on safety. The ZDX incorporates AcuraWatch, a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistive technologies. Some notable features include Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Blind Zone Steering Assist, and the AcuraWatch 360+ system introduced in the ZDX Type S, allowing for hands-free driving under specific conditions.
As the anticipation builds, pre-sale activities for the ZDX in Canada will commence later this year, with the first deliveries projected for Spring 2024. Those eager to be among the first to own this groundbreaking vehicle are advised to connect with us for reservation details.
